WILD ON WINDSOR TRIATHLON
Final Race Information
I want to volunteer
5430 Sports, the leader in triathlon and multisport events, brings the Wild on Windsor Triathlon to Northern Colorado on August 30, 2009. This great venue, featuring beautiful Windsor Lake, is a wonderful backdrop for what will certainly be a premier Olympic Distance Triathlon for many years to come.
A First Class Event in a First Class Location
Windsor Colorado is located just east of Fort Collins, an easy drive from anywhere on the Front Range. The same professional, high quality features at the Boulder Peak and other 5430 triathlons will be seen and experienced at this event. In its inaugural year, the race will be limited to 800 participants. The 1.5 km swim is followed by a fast, flat 40km bike with beautiful mountain views to the west. The 10km run, including a loop around Windsor Lake, is equally flat and fast. As with all 5430 Sports events, the Wild on Windsor Triathlon will be more than just a "local fun run".
- You can count on:
- Great competitor technical race shirts
- Terrific awards
- Food and beer after the race
- Well supported aid stations on the course
- A Race Expo
- And, of course, awesome fantastic volunteers
$4,999 Prize Purse to Top Age Groupers
The race will have a $4,999 prize purse for the top 5 female & male age group finishers, and top 2 female & male masters (40+) age group finishers!
Host Hotel
Host hotel tbd info will be posted as soon as plans are finalized
5430 Charities
The 5430 Boulder Triathlon Series has designated the Foundation Fighting Blindness as our official charity. The cure for blindness is truly at a remarkable point in history; differentiating itself as one of the diseases that has hope of actually being cured. They are really so incredibly close to treatments and cures and it is only a matter of dollars at this point. There are at least six clinical trials currently in their final stages ready to find a cure, and our dollars can make a difference. Each dollar raised will go directly to these studies and further research.
Please help this effort when you register. Donations can be made as you complete registration, processing fees will not be added to your specified amount (your event receipt can be used for your tax purposes). Please help us out on this incredibly worthy mission. For more info visit www.blindness.org as well as www.racetocureblindness.org
