|
- Arrive at the Boulder Reservoir starting at 5:30am.
- Racers should proceed to the body-marking area at the entrance to the transition area with their race numbers. Volunteers will write the racer's number on the arms and legs of the racer.
- Have your bike and helmet inspected at the entrance to the transition area.
- Bring your bike and all your race gear into the transition area, and find the aisle where you need to put your bike. Volunteers will assist the kids in finding a space. Sidewalk chalk will be available for kids to "customize” their space for easy identification during the race.
- Rack your bike and lay out your gear in the spot next to your bike. We recommend use of an old beach towel as a carpet for your gear.
- Drink plenty of fluids, relax, and report to the pre-race meeting at 7am in the transition area.
- The transition area will be closed to all non-competitors until the start of the 6 & 7 year old race.
- After the race, check your transition area to make sure that you have collected everything you brought in with you. We highly recommend that you mark all of your gear, especially shoes, bike and helmet.
- Packet pick-up will be at Boulder Running Company on Friday August 8th, between the hours of 10:30am and 6:00pm.
- You must bring your child’s valid USA Triathlon card with you to packet pick up!
- If you do not have your current card with you, you will be required to sign up and pay for an annual license at the event. This option is also available at the time of online registration. If you have recently purchased an annual membership, you may go the USA Triathlon website and print a temporary card which will suffice for the event.
- There will be NO team competition at the Boulder Kids Triathlon. This race is designed to build confidence by allowing each young athlete to complete all three disciplines on their own.
- USA Triathlon Rule: Our race is sanctioned and insured through USA Triathlon; therefore all youth competitors must hold a USAT license. Cost is $5.00 per year.
Sign up on the USAT website before registering or pay the $5 USAT fee with your race registration - we will handle the rest. With this one-time payment, youth triathletes are eligible to compete in all triathlons for the remainder of their annual membership year.
If the participant is already a member, enter the membership number on the appropriate space provided on the registration form.
The membership dues are used for the development, research, and upkeep of USA Triathlon age-group programs (including kid’s programs), such as championships, event sanctioning, officiating, rankings, membership, media, etc. To view all of the benefits of the USAT membership
You must bring your valid USA Triathlon card to packet pick up.
