Welcome to the “New” 5430 Sports!
5430 Sports derives its name from the altitude of Boulder, CO, where it was founded. Producing multi-sport events since 1998, 5430 Sports took a little break in 2009, when it sold its eight events to the World Triathlon Corporation, (“Ironman”). Those included the world famous Boulder Peak Triathlon, as well as the 5430 Long Course Triathlon, now known as Ironman 70.3 Boulder. Over the years, World Champions such as Craig Alexander, Chrissy Wellington, Julie Dibens, Tim O’Donnell, and Joanna Zeiger raced our events; however, thousands of newbie and MOP’s ( middle-of-the-pack) joined in as well. The 5430 TriZona Triathlon marks the Siff’s reemergence into triathlon race production, following the completion of their agreement with WTC.
“5430 Sports are totally for the athletes and enhancing every racers’ experience. Their events are run with the utmost professionalism and passion and that shines through in every aspect of their event delivery.” Craig Alexander, 3x Ironman World Champion.
“5430 Sports is a legendary part of Boulder’s triathlon community, and I am thrilled that they are back! Some of my first big races were 5430 events and they have always done a fantastic job bringing together professional and age group racing. I love the combination of a quality production with the fun local race atmosphere that 5430 Sports provides, and I can’t wait to see what they do next.” Tim O’Donnell, Top American at Ironman World Championship 2013
“Your passion for the sport of triathlon is infectious. Your passion for the athlete is even more infectious.” Glenn McDaniel, Run Coach, Age Group Athlete and Fantastic Volunteer
